Launch of handset to be supported by a marketing campaign in select stores from next year
Doro has expanded its relationship with Carphone Warehouse after the retailer began selling its Liberto 820 Mini smartphone.
It will also be supported through an in-store marketing campaign from next year in select Carphone stores, which will include live demo handsets and point-of-sale displays with video tutorials.
Doro UK and Ireland managing director Chris Millington said: “We have worked with Carphone Warehouse for many years now and this development is testimony to the strength of our relationship.
“This handset makes a big difference to the end user as it opens up so many opportunities for them to be better connected and engaged. Smartphones are no longer exclusively designed for and aimed at the younger audience.”
The Liberto 820 Mini, which is also available on prepay from Tesco (£99) and SIM-free from Amazon (£134.99), went on sale in March and is the first from the manufacturer to include an in-built ‘app coach’.
It was also on display at Doro’s exhibitor stand at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona just weeks before.
The company has been selling its handsets in Carphone since 2007 and adds to two feature phones (PhoneEasy 508 and PhoneEasy 610) and one smartphone (Liberto 820) currently being sold there.
