The Shine 2 tracks fitness activity and notifies the wearer about calls and texts
Wearables manufacturer Misfit has announced the launch of the Shine 2 fitness and sleep monitoring wearable.
The new wearable helps users track their fitness activities, steps and sleep patterns, with the progress being displayed on the device’s screen. It also comes with Misfit Move, a feature that uses the watch’s vibrate function to notify users about becoming more active. The Shine 2 also includes call and text notifications.
According to the manufacturer, the device is more advanced than previous versions. Misfit claims it has improved touch responsiveness, extended Bluetooth range and anything on screen can easily be seen in direct sunlight. It comes with six-month battery life and can be used underwater in depths of up to 50 meters.
Misfit director of mechanical design Adam Mack said: “We’ve packed a lot into Shine 2, adding more functionality into an even thinner factor with the same battery life. We didn’t compromise craftsmanship or the user experience.”
The Shine 2 is available in either rose gold or carbon black colours for $99.99 in the US from November 1
