Manufacturer’s latest tablet to first be made available online before going on sale through retail stores in more than 40 countries later this week
The Apple iPad Pro will go on sale online this Wednesday before being made available in more than 40 countries, including the US, UK and China later this week.
It will first go on sale via Apple.com and arrive at Apple retail stores, select carriers and Apple Authorised Resellers. The Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard will also be available from Wednesday.
iPad Pro pricing starts from £679 for the 32GB with WiFi model and £899 for the WiFi + Cellular 128GB model, coming in silver, gold and space grey.
Apple Pencil will be available for £79 and Smart Keyboard available in charcoal grey for £139.A number of cases will also be available from £49.
Apple senior vice president of worldwide marketing Philip Schiller said the early response to the iPad Pro from app developers has been “incredible”, labelling the Apple Pencil and Smart Keyboard as “revolutionary”.
The availability of the tablet comes after Apple last week revealed that iPad unit sales shipments and sales both fell 20 per cent year-on-year in its Q4, to $9.883 million and $4.276 billion respectively.
