Wileyfox launches limited edition white Swift handset

The device is available exclusively from Amazon for £129

Wileyfox has launched a limited edition version of its Swift handset called the ‘Ice White Swift’ (pictured). It is exclusively available from Amazon for just four weeks.

The only difference between the limited edition device and the original black Swift is the colour. Hardware and £129 pricing remains the same. Wileyfox launched the original Swift, alongside the more premium Storm (£179), in October last year.

The ‘Ice White Swift’ runs on the Cyanogen 12.1 operating system. This is a version of Android with more security features. For example, users can control what personal data is shared from apps.

It comes with 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras, a 5-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory expandable to 32GB with a microSD card. There’s also a 2,500mAh battery which Wileyfox claims has up to 10 hours of talk time.

London-based Wileyfox is headed by CEO Nick Muir, formerly of Motorola. He joined Motorola in 2006 as account director and was UK & Ireland general manager from February 2014 to June 2015. He joined Wileyfox in July 2015
