Over 500 Apple and Samsung handsets robbed from Exertis warehouse

Police reports say three masked men were involved in the robbery

Exertis has lost over 500 handsets after its Altham warehouse was robbed on February 1.

Lancashire Police confirmed to Mobile News that three masked men had broken into the warehouse on Shorten Brook Way. The incident happened between midnight and 2.30am. They forced their way into the building through a window and took off with the stock. This includes 170 iPhone 6s and 380 Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo handsets.

East Lancashire Crime Investigation Department detective sergeant Melissa Kelly said: “We are conducting inquiries in the area and we are keen to hear from anyone who has information that could assist with our ongoing investigation.

“I would also urge anyone who may have been offered an iPhone 6S or Samsung Galaxy S5 Neo to contact us with any information.”

Mobile News has contacted Lancashire Police for more information. Exertis declined to comment.
