The new mid-range will include the X cam and X screen handsets

LG will unveil its mid-range X series handsets (pictured) at this year’s Mobile World Congress on February 22.

The range consists of two devices called the X cam and X screen. Both handsets run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, Google’s latest operating system, and will be available in Europe, Asia and Latin America from March. UK availability and pricing are yet to be announced.

The X cam comes with two rear cameras – 13MP and 5MP – whilst the front has an 8MP camera. It also has a curved screen and weighs 118 grams. There’s a 1.14GHz Octa-Core processor and it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. Available colours include silver, white and gold.

LG has added a dual screen – two HD displays sitting atop each other – to the second handset. One screen allows a user to take a call without interrupting any app they’re using on the other display. Users can also choose to keep one screen on at all times, so they can view the clock, date, weather or other chosen information without having to press a button.

Additionally, the X screen comes with a 1.2GHz Quad-Core processor, 13MP rear and 8MP front cameras, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. It is also available in black, white and gold colours.
