The manufacturer also unveiled Xperia Ear headset and Xperia Eye camera
Sony unveiled its news X series handsets at Mobile World Congress (February 22), which it claims will ‘reimagine’ the Xperia range with new technology and design.
The range consists of X (pictured) and XA devices. Both include new cameras which Sony claims can reduce the amount of blur by detecting a subject’s range of motion.
The battery can also last up to two days, whilst a curved screen and Snapdragon 650 processor are also included. Available colours are white, black, lime gold and rose gold.
Mobile News has contacted Sony for more details on the X range.
Sony also launched the Xperia Ear. By connecting to and taking information from a smartphone, the earpiece will give audio reminders about a user’s schedule, the weather and news. Verbal prompts can also command it to make calls, perform an internet search or help direct a user to a certain location. The Xperia Eye was also unveiled, a wearable wide-angle lens camera which can be attached to clothing or worn around the neck.
All three devices are due to be released in the UK this summer, but pricing is yet to be confirmed.
