Walter Ji appointed Huawei Western Europe Consumer Business Group president


Ji has spent over 14 years with Huawei having joined the R&D department in 2001

Huawei has appointed Walter Ji (pictured) as its new Western Europe Consumer Business Group president. Ji has over 14 years of experience with the Chinese manufacturer.

His responsibilities include building the brand’s image and relationships with local partners in the western European region.

Ji started his career with Huawei in 2001 when he joined the research & development department. He then became Nigeria CEO in 2007, and then Spain and Portugal CEO in 2011. Last year he held the role of Western Europe vice president.

Huawei CEO Richard Yu said: “Not only has he obtained valuable experience in two of Huawei’s most successful markets in Europe, but he also has a proven track record in management and business operations at the international level.”
