Bluetooth product manufacturer Bluechipworld has appointed Brightstar veteran Gemma Small as a new national account manager.
She spent 11 years at the hardware distributor, joining the former 20:20 Mobile business in June 2005 as a customer service advisor.
Small held several senior roles at Brightstar, including national account executive, key account manager and was most recently a national account manager for just over a year. She takes charge of Bluechipworld customers including Dixons Carphone and Argos.
Bluechipworld CEO Simon Hassell (pictured) said: “Gemma has been a part of the industry for more than 13 years. She is a proven salesperson and the right cultural fit for our business. This forms part of our expansion plans and builds nicely towards the move into our new head office.”
On the move
This latest major appointment for the Hednesford-based firm comes as it prepares to move into a purpose-built premises at the start of next month as part of major growth plans which will see staff numbers increase from 32 to 50 over the following months.
The new head base features offices, meeting rooms, product showrooms, testing laboratories and a 20,000 square foot warehouse – five times the size of what it currently has in place. It is located two miles off the M6 motorway toll.
Bluechipworld also has offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, with products on sale in 12 countries, including the USA, Australia, Russia, Mexico, Korea, India and the Netherlands. Retail partners include Dixons Carphone, O2, Vodafone, Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Argos, A1 Comms, Fonehouse, Amazon.co.uk and Play.com.
