The guarantee allows new and upgrading customers to exit a new contract within 30 days
Vodafone claims it is leading the telecoms industry with a new 30 day network guarantee for customers.
The guarantee lets customers exit a contract within 30 days if they are unhappy. It is available to all new and upgrading pay monthly and prepay customers who have purchased a contract in-store, online or over the phone.
Vodafone UK CEO Jeroen Hoencamp (pictured) claims the guarantee is an industry first. He said: “We’ve invested heavily in our network and services over the past few years so we’re now giving our customers the freedom to really test the strength and speed of our network across the UK and, if they’re not totally happy, they can come back to us within 30 days and we’ll cancel their agreement – no questions asked.”
The move follows complaints about Vodafone to Ofcom more than doubling in a year. Ofcom published its Telecoms and Pay TV Complaints Report last month (March 30). The number of complaints the network received from the fourth quarter of 2014 to Q4 2015 had increased from 14 per 100,000 customers to 32 per 100,000.
