Plan appoints industry veteran Ablard to head of sales role

Former O2 head joins airtime distributor following an 18 month absence from the industry

Plan.com has appointed 17-year industry veteran Angie Ablard as its new head of sales.

Ablard is best known for spending six years at the mobile operator between July 2008 and September 2014 where she held a number of management roles including regional head, head of fixed line sales for SMB and head of business change.

Her most recent position at O2 was head of distribution partners for 18 months, where she was responsible for the growth and development in sales performance, key quality metrics and strategic direction of its partner channel.

Prior to joining O2, Ablard  had worked as the sales director at Dextra Solutions, which is based in Crewe, for just under three years and sales manager at Hugh Symons for eight-and-a-half years.

Most recently she was head of partners at total Gas & Power for 18 months, charged with the performance, growth, strategy and future development of its SME partner channel.
