New business unit will work with resellers who have just partnered with the distributor
Ingram Micro has invested in its sales setup to create a New Business Team aimed at resellers who have just started working with the distributor.
The team is made up of existing employees from the sales division and helps resellers set up a new account with Ingram Micro.
The distributor, who’s head office is in Milton Keynes, said it has also simplified the process for new businesses. Those businesses that wish to apply now have the facility to do so online, with waiting times for trading approval reduced from one week to 48 hours.
Ingram has also launched a new website, which includes YouTube tutorial videos on how to use the site.
Ingram said it has also taken steps to ensure that its finance team has systems in place to give the best credit options to customers. The Credit Builder Program is designed to aid and grow Ingram Micro customers and will allow them to steadily build their credit line over a 10-month period, while the establishment of a loyalty program is also in the works.
Ingram Micro VP and country chief executive (UK&I) Brent McCarty said: “The adoption of a new website is just the beginning of an extensive revision of processes for Ingram Micro.
