Liveing joined the ethnic MVNO in 2010 and oversaw marketing as Lycamobile expanded from seven countries to 20
Lyca Group marketing director Chris Liveing is set to step down from his role at the ethnic MVNO at the end of May.
Liveing joined Lycamobile in August 2010 as customer marketing director, and became group marketing director the following year.
Prior to that, Liveing held several roles within the industry, including five years as chief marketing officer at Tesco Mobile and more than a decade at O2 (as Cellnet until it rebranded in 2002).
During his time at Lycamobile, the MVNO expanded its presence from seven countries to 20, and saw revenue treble to almost £1.3 billion.
“Lycamobile is now the largest international MVNO and it has been a challenging and rewarding experience to have been a part of that success story,” Liveing said.
“I am delighted that the Lycamobile brand has an awareness and recognition beyond its target customer segments. Major marketing campaigns across Europe and the USA, sponsorships with West Ham United and the Test Match Grounds and charitable support for the British Asian Trust and Chance to Shine have all contributed to the Lycamobile profile.
“After five years, and having achieved my personal objectives at the Lyca Group it is now time for me to move on. I wish everyone at the Lyca Group every success for the future.”
Lycamobile said his replacement has yet to be confirmed.
