DMSL boasts good take-up of Virgin ultrafast broadband

Distributor has signed more than 100 resellers to the service in the last three months

Broadband distributor DMSL has signed up more than 100 resellers for Virgin Media Business’s ultrafast services in the past three  months.

The Romford-based firm kicked off its channel recruitment campaign at the start of April after Virgin Media Business announced that it was looking to work with resellers for the first time.

DMSL claimed that it received an “immediate and positive response”, with more than 100 resellers having already signed up to the company’s partner programme.

It added that it started to drive lead generation for the services soon after recruiting the initial wave of partners and is seeing 20 per cent monthly growth.

DMSL has also launched a range of new promotions as it seeks to drive even more interest and activity from its reseller base.

Resellers are now offering 100Mbps ‘Fibre Business Broadband’ plus a phone line with unlimited UK calls for £35 per month for the first year (£50 thereafter) and 200Mbps Fibre

Business Broadband, again with a phone line and unlimited UK calls, for £45 per month for a year (£60 thereafter). Both offers are available until September 30 on 24-month contracts only.

DMSL managing director John Carter said: “Resellers have responded with real enthusiasm to the Virgin Media Business ultrafast value proposition.

“They are right to do that – it’s an excellent opportunity and one that SMBs are very keen to explore. We are already building a healthy pipeline of business and helping resellers to get ahead of the game. The new promotions will ensure we keep adding to the momentum.”

DMSL said that with Virgin Media continuing to roll out its £3bn Project Lightning investment programme, which launched in February 2015 and has vowed to connect four million additional UK premises to broadband speeds of 152Mbps, there is plenty of opportunity for more resellers to get involved.

“There is no time to lose. It is not a matter of waiting and seeing – the opportunity is here today,” added Carter. “We are bringing new partners on board and working with them to develop new opportunities immediately. The Virgin brand is powerful and we’re getting a fantastic response from end-user businesses.”
