Genuine Solutions charges into Duracell deal

Distributor will supply reseller partners with energy company’s chargers and accessories

Genuine Solutions has been appointed as the preferred distributor by energy firm Duracell for its range of chargers and accessories.

It is the first distribution deal signed by Duracell in the mobile space for the UK. Products, which include mains chargers, car chargers and syncing cables, will be targeted towards Genuine’s 1,300 customers, which range from independent dealers to high-street retailers.

Genuine Solutions managing director Andy Tow, who secured a similar deal with Duracell rival Energizer when he was MD at Avenir, said: “The Duracell range provides
our customers with a globally recognised brand, which is highly trusted by consumers.

“All parties involved are extremely excited to be working together and believe we will make the range a huge success.”

It’s the company’s second distribution agreement in recent weeks, after last month signing a deal with Bluetooth product manufacturer Jabra to offer a number of headsets, including the Boost, Classic, Mini and BT2046, to its channel partners and customers.

The distributor serves customers in 45 countries, offering 2,000 product lines. It distributes products for more than 20 brands, including Alcatel, BlackBerry, HTC, Huawei, LG, Microsoft, Samsung and Sony.
