Retailer unveils a number of contract, prepay and SIM-only promotions for those returning to school next month
Carphone Warehouse is offering a range of ‘Back to School Deals’ on prepay and SIM only for youngsters returning for the new academic year.
Based on Carphone’s MVNO iD, which allow users to cap their monthly spend, the prepay handst deals are valid from August 25 until September 7.
There is £70 off the Sony Xperia XA, which now costs £149.99. The HTC Desire530 and Lumia 650 have both been reduced by £30 and cost £99.99 and £89.99 respectfully, while the Huawei Y3 has had £5 knocked off its price to now cost £29.99.
On contract, the Samsung Galaxy J3 costs £11.50 a month on iD with 300 minutes, 5,000 texts and 500MB of data.
There are also a number of SIM-only deals being offered on the MVNO. The first has 250 minutes and 250MB of data for £4 a month; the second 250 minutes and 1GB of data for £5 a month and the third 500 minutes and 4GB of data for £10 a month.
All come with 5,000 minutes, with the final two deals providing monthly double data allowances.
Two SIM-only deals from EE are also being promoted. the MTV Trax SIM costs £15 a month and provides 500 minutes, unlimited texts and a free Trax subscription for six months.
Those signing up before November 3 will receive 7GB of data, otherwise this will be restricted to 2GB.
The EE International SIM costs £8 a month, with 100 minutes, 200 texts and 500MB of data. Calls cost from 1p per minute, while texts are charged from 10p each.
