The new agreement is the latest milestone in the pair’s relationship which started 31 years ago in 1985
Nimans has signed an exclusive supply deal with BT to distribute a range of consumer fixed line telephones to partners throughout the UK.
The new partnership is the latest chapter in the 31-year relationship between the Manchester-based distributor and the broadband giant. Products available to customers as part of the agreement include the pictured Converse 2200 (£32.99), Big Button 200 (£23.32), 9600 Advanced (£59.99) and the Diverse 7110 Plus Single DECT Phone in black.
BT’s ‘Premium Nuisance Call Blocker’ is installed on the DECT handset, which can block unwanted calls. The user can simply enter specific numbers they don’t want calling them, or choose to restrict more general withheld, anonymous, international or payphone callers.
Nimans group sales and business development director Richard Carter said: “We are delighted to announce that Nimans has become sole high street distributor for BT branded consumer telephones and baby monitors across the UK.
“This is a major development for us and represents a significant step forward in our relationship with BT, a partnership that has now spanned over 30 years. During this time we have worked tirelessly as a team to support BT and as a result have moved from being a minor distributor in 1985, to their number one partner in 2010 and now we become their exclusive distributor in 2016 for this area.”
