The operator has reached an agreement with Telenor Sweden to include 4G data services across the Swedish network
Lycamobile will rollout 4G services throughout Sweden with a total coverage footprint of 95.5 per cent for the Swedish population.
Sweden is the latest country to see the upgrade to 4G, with the MVNO upgrading Australia to 4G last month.
The operator claims to be the world’s largest international MVNO and will seek to continue expanding into new markets.
Lyca Group chairman Subaskaran Allirajah said: “Our extended agreement with Telenor for our service in Sweden to include 4G data services demonstrates out commitment to making it easier for our customers to connect with their communities and loved ones across Sweden and the rest of the world.”
