Westcoast teams up with Supercover to offer partners gadget insurance

The deal adds to existing agreements already established with the likes of Apple, Lease Telecom, SOTI and MendIt

Westcoast has partnered with Supercover Insurance to enable its partners to provide their customers with insurance on every gadget purchased.

The deal to is the latest addition to the list of supply and service agreements for the distributor, which include those with Apple, Lease Telecom, enterprise mobility management provider SOTI and PC repair firm MendIt.

Westcoast telco director Richard Wills (pictured) said: “This further extends the comprehensive range of solutions we can offer our partners. Supercover’s excellent reputation in our sector and their ability to offer our partners recurring revenue made them an obvious choice.”

It is also the latest major deal for Supercover, having entered the mobile channel in 2014 following the appointment of former EE national sales manager John Fannon as director of sales.

The company, which was acquired by the Markerstudy Group of Companies in 2014 for an undisclosed sum, has partnered with hundreds of companies including Data Select, Mdee, Onecom, Olive Communications, Aerial Business Communications, Boots, Co-op and Kwik Fit.

“Westcoast are a major player in the market and we are thrilled to bolster their existing offering with our award-winning cover,” said Fannon.
