Exertis signs distribution deal with Fellowes

Reseller and retail partners will access sit and stand work stations, security shredders and workplace cleaning supplies

Exertis has signed a new distribution agreement with office equipment supplier Fellowes.

The new deal will enable reseller and retailer partners to access sit and stand work stations, security shredders and workplace cleaning supplies. There will also be privacy filters available, which help block out side views of any monitor, desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone device.

The sit-stand stations also allow users to adjust their desks for optimum comfort. According to recent research from Fellowes, businesses across Europe lose more than £70 million annually due to employee sickness. One in three of these are caused by ailments from working at a computer.

Exertis head of accessories David Butler said: “Fellowes is an established and reputable brand, and can offer our customers an attach and additional margin opportunity on a range of products that are applicable to any size of company in any market.

Roll out strategy

“With the need for companies to be compliant with DSE legislation and the forthcoming GDPR laws, Fellowes provides a great range of office ergonomic solutions, the protection of visual data using privacy filters and the disposal of printed data through the use of shredders.”

Fellowes senior channel manager Steve Plaistowe said: “Fellowes is delighted to be launching with Exertis, as they fulfil a key part of the Fellowes roll out strategy for the IT reseller community.

“Exertis clearly demonstrates a very high level of expertise and professionalism in IT distribution. The key to success for both parties is the expansion of our products into the IT reseller base.”

The new partnership comes as Exertis’ annual revenues for the three months ending March 31 increased from £2.4 billion to £2.6 billion.

Growth was attributed to its £38 million acquisition of IT specialist Hammer Holdings, which added £155 million in turnover.
