Nimans has announced the retirement of operations director John Cunningham and the hiring of Tracie Fawcett as channel development manager.
Cunningham retired on November 1 after a 20-year career with the telecoms provider. A replacement has not been directly named, a Nimans spokesperson told Mobile News.
Cunningham was recruited by the Manchester-based firm in 1997, initially to implement a new computer system, before playing an instrumental role in developing the company’s logistics operation and planning the new headquarter’s warehouse expansion.
Cunningham said: “The company has grown dramatically over the years but there are many things that have stayed the same; the family atmosphere and chairman Julian Nimans’ passion to achieve even more success”.
Nimans bolstered its ranks in November by hiring Fawcett as channel development manager for the south of England. She boasts 17 years of telecoms experience having had stints with EE/BT, Daisy Group and Avenir – in senior positions.
Fawcett said: “Joining Nimans’ network services team is the next logical step in my career.
Nimans has a fantastic industry pedigree and works with all the leading brands to offer complete joined up solutions. It provides me with a great platform to further develop my career and take it to the next level.”
Nimans head of network services Mark Curtis-Wood added: “Tracie is a valuable new addition to our expanding team, in particular further enhancing our mobile proposition.
She boasts tremendous industry experience and will be a great asset not just to us but most importantly our customer base as we continue to develop all areas of the division.”
