Ady Moores: pushing for further growth before the end of the year
P2i has announced that it has covered its 250 millionth consumer device since its launch in 2011. The liquid-repellent nano coating manufacturer, which is gearing up to release new products in the next year and a half, is also pushing to reach 300 million before the turn of the year.
The company has reported a 55 per cent year-on-year growth over the first three quarters of this year and, to date, the coating is applied in 62 factories across five continents around the world.
P2i now provides liquid repellency protection to the top 10 smartphone manufacturers including Huawei and Motorola, covering more than 100 different
iterations of product.
P2i CEO Ady Moores said: “P2i has fostered incredibly strong relationships with OEMs over the last few years. “The company’s growth trajectory runs in parallel with demand for advanced levels of protection on electronic goods and we’ve proven our ability to deliver on a large scale.”
The announcement comes six months after receiving a £10 million investment from Clydesdale bank with a view to expanding the business. Since then, P2i have covered 75 million more devices with the aim of increasing that number to 125 million.
Moores said: “Liquid damage is the second most-common reason that a phone will need repairing with the vast majority of accidents at home and while we don’t yet know the cure for clumsiness, P2i is playing a pivotal role in mitigating circumstances.”
