Supercover business development manager Bernie Nunn (pictured above) has stepped down from his position at the insurer.
Nunn follows in the footsteps of the former general manager Amanda Kerry Wallington and director of sales John Fannon who have both departed in the past 12 months.
The former business development manager held the position at Supercover for almost nine years and has now taken up a similar role at the insurance distributor and claims management provider Coplus.
Nunn told Mobile News: “I had decided I needed a job change. I had been doing it for nine years and I was seeking new opportunities really – a chance to broaden my horizons a little.
“So when I was presented with this opportunity I thought that would be the best thing to do.”
Nunn’s appointment comes less than a month before Coplus moves into the mobile insurance market selling policies alongside handsets.
Coplus plans to sell policies through MVNOs, large retailers and networks. The insurer serves 2.5 million policy-holders from 400 insurance brokers.
Nunn added: “Mobile will be a focus of Coplus, we will be moving into the mobile market, making an aggressive stance in the business, selling insurance alongside mobile phones and tech gadgets.
“We’d like to look at MVNOs, we’d like to look into large mobile resellers and networks. We would like to look at all of that because we can scale up and scale down quite quickly as the business is very flexible.
“We are literally 80 per cent there now, it’s just fine turning it, testing and we’ll be ready for launch.”
Mobile News reached out to Supercover Insurance but have not received a response at the time of going to print.
