Dealer launches BlackBerry banking app

August 18, 2008

TrackTech, recently acquired by Irish distributor Commercial Wireless, launches BlackBerry application for secured credit/debit card processing

Cheltenham-based B2B dealer Tracktech has launched a BlackBerry application called eMERIT for secure credit and debit card processing on BlackBerry phones.

The system will accept MasterCard, Visa, Maestro, Solo and Electron cards.

The white-label solution can be programmed to take all card payments, but a bespoke transaction processing module can be added as well.

The licence costs £19.99 per user per month, with a transaction charge of up to five per cent.

Tracktech was purchased by Irish firm Commercial Wireless in April. It is one of a growing range of dealers that are positioning themselves as applications resellers.

Commercial Wireless chief executive Derek McDonald (pictured) said: "Tracktech's business is very closely aligned with our own, but it also develops bespoke application software for its customers, which is a good add-on to our business."
