Carphone debuts white 8GB iPhone 3G

Carphone Warehouse is first to stock the 8GB version of the white iPhone, ahead of O2 and Apple itself - although Apple has stocked 16GB version for some weeks
The Carphone Warehouse is the first retailer to stock the white version of the 8GB Apple iPhone 3G, weeks ahead of Apple’s UK network partner O2.
Carphone takes delivery of stock of both the 8GB version and the 16GB model tomorrow (August 23).
Both versions will be on sale at the same price as the original black model - the 8GB is free on £45 O2 tariffs and £99 on £30 O2 tariffs; the 16GB version is £59 on £45 O2 deals and £159 on £30 O2 deals.
The 16GB version of the white iPhone has been on sale at Appl'e own stores since July, but Carphone will be the first to debut the 8GB model. O2 claims it will also be offering the white iPhone in the coming weeks.
