Motorola sues Apple's Fenger
August 27, 2008
Apple vice president for global iPhone sales and former Motorola EMEA executive Mike Fenger sued by Motorola for breach of contract
Motorola is suing former EMEA executive Mike Fenger (pictured), who left to join rival manufacturer Apple in March, for breach of contract.
Motorola filed a complaint last month in a Chicago court, stating Fenger is in breach of the contract signed on his leaving Motorola, which said he must not work for a rival company for two years.
Fenger left Motorola in March after six years, finishing as vice president for mobile devices in EMEA.
He moved on to become Apple's vice president for global iPhone sales.
Motorola is looking to recover around $1 million in stock-option grants given to Fenger.
