October 3, 2008
Luxury Nokia brand marks 10th anniversary with £24,000 white gold Vertu-branded handset
Nokia-owned luxury handset brand Vertu has announced its new ‘Signature’ handset to mark its 10th anniversary.
The handset includes a specially composed piece of music performed by the London Symphony Orchestra; a ‘concierge’ button offering expert advice and assistance, and has a patented keypad containing solid ruby bearings.
Vertu president Alberto Torres said: “Vertu was ahead of the times. Now you can see how successful the industry has become, as more competitors are looking to enter this space.”
The Signature is available in stainless steel (pictured) at €9,500 (£7,540). A yellow gold version is available for £18,000 and white gold for around £24,000.
