Mainline boosts prepay commissions
November 20, 2008
Orange distributor Mainline gives dealers higher commission on prepay handsets to compete with high street deals over Christmas.
Orange distributor Mainline has increased commissions on prepay handsets over the Christmas period.
The increase, which lasts six weeks, is designed to help its dealers compete against high street retailers by enabling them to match prices without reducing their own earnings.
In addition, dealers are also being rewarded with Marks & Spencer vouchers and National Lottery scratch cards when they order handsets.
Mainline director of sales Gail Hollinshead said: “We’ve sharpened our pencils to ensure that dealers can compete with the likes of Carphone Warehouse and Argos this Christmas.
“November and December are still huge months for prepay at Mainline, despite over 90 percent of our connections in the rest of the year being business connections."
