Nokia ties up Symbian deal

Nokia has completed the acquisition of Symbian Limited, taking possession of 99.9 per cent of shares it didn’t already own.

All conditions of Nokia’s offer have now been satisfied and the deal has been finalised.

According to Nokia the closing of the deal is a fundamental step towards the establishment of the Symbian Foundation.

Symbian employees will become Nokia employees on February 1, 2009.
