Virgin Mobile offers free instant messaging

Virgin Mobile is offering six months of free usage on its new Windows Live instant messenger application.

The application, which launched December 8, is available for all new and existing Virgin Mobile customers, and can be download for free on four selected handset including the Samsung G600 and U600, Nokia 6300 and the Sony Ericsson W910i.

Virgin has announced more compatible handsets will be available in the New Year.

Virgin Mobile managing director Graeme Oxby said: "We are delighted to be bringing the most popular chat service to our customers."
