Staff told at sales conference in Birmingham to pull out the stops
Phones 4U summoned store managers to commercial briefings at Aston Villa football club in Birmingham this month to hammer home new sales targets for the Christmas period.
Staff were told to pull out all the stops to make as many sales as possible during the run up to Christmas. Phones 4U will focus heavily on the BlackBerry Storm and laptop deals, as well as traditional prepay sales.
Staff have been told to sell at least one laptop each day through to Christmas.
Store managers must work alongside regular Sunday staff through the holidays, as all its estate stays open Sundays to pick up extra trade.
Staff were warned that stores will have ‘raids’ with regional directors turning up at stores unannounced to inspect how they are running and to check their appearance.
