LG appoints new Irish sales boss

Former Meteor dealer manager Kieran Keddy has been appointed new LG Mobile sales manager for Ireland.

Keddy joins from Huawei, where he was head of sales for terminals.

Prior to this he was UK account manager for Sagem Communications and indirect sales manager at Meteor Mobile Communications.

LG Mobile UK and Ireland sales and marketing director John Barton said: "In Ireland, we have listened to what our customers have told us and appointed Kieran Keddy as our sales manager.

"This will have the galvanising effect we need as we launch a series of handsets into the market, building on the introduction of LG Mobile earlier in the year."

Barton added that LG will look to ramp up its activity with 3 Ireland in the New Year, as well as pursuing airtime deals with Vodafone and O2.

"The great thing is all of the channels have been extremely positive and our existing presence through the efforts of 3 Ireland will be hugely magnified in 2009," he said.
