INQ handsets to feature Twitter

Micro-blogging based social network to be incorporated in new devices from start up manufacturer alongside Facebook

Social networking-based handset brand INQ is looking to include Twitter in upcoming versions of its device.

Its debut device, the INQ1, launched last year on 3, featuring Facebook, Skype, Windows Live Messenger and Last.fm integrated into the device. New INQ devices will also feature an eBay application, and the company is in discussions with Twitter. It is also looking to launch new devices on networks other than 3.

INQ chief executive Frank Meehan said: “Twitter is something we are very much looking at. It’s an incredibly successful phenomenon – it’s everywhere, and will be a good complement to Facebook on our handsets.”
