Carphone gets pink BlackBerry exclusive

RIM has released its new pink BlackBerry Pearl 8110 in the UK exclusively through the Carphone Warehouse.

The launch highlights the Canadian smartphone manufacturer’s push into the consumer market, headed by the release of the device in blue and red last year.

The 8110 comes with built in GPS, two megapixel camera, media player and push email.

It is available from free on O2 contracts of £35 and up.

The device is exclusive through Carphone until March 31, with a free bottle of champagne.

A spokesperson said: “Fashion is key for women when choosing their handset, only after price and function.”
