Fone Logistics sales director Duncan Edward has joined his former employers at dealer and distributor Activ Telecom

Duncan Edward, who joined Fone Logistics in January this year from Cannon UK, has become the new sales director and “final” shareholder in Ian Gillespie’s new B2B dealer and distribution business Activ Telecom.

Airtime distributor Fone Logistics was sold to Daisy Telecom last month for £3.6 million. Its two major share holders, founder and managing director Ian Gillespie and financial director Michael Fitzpatrick, quit to set up Activ Telecom with the sale, taking Fone Logistics’ direct relationship with Three in the process.

Gillespie said he is taking a backseat in day-to-day running of Activ Telecom, leaving Fitzpatrick and Edward to run operations.

Edward, friends with Gillespie since working with Fone Logistics as Vodafone regional sales manager during 2000-2006, is responsible for growing the direct (Three) and indirect (Orange, Vodafone and O2) operations of Activ Telecom as it looks to become an established player in the B2B market.
