The acquisition is Communicate Better’s 17th in the last decade

Communicate Better has acquired Staveley Comms as part of a move to strengthen its IT, mobile, telephony and telematics offering.

The acquisition by the Warrington-based communications provider for an undisclosed sum is its 17th in the last decade.

It also strengthens the firm’s footprint in the North West of the country, with Staveley Comms based in Salford.

As part of the deal, Staveley Comms becomes part of the Communicate Better Group, but will retain its name and branding. All management and employees will also remain in their positions at the firm.

Staveley Comms formed in 1998, setting up as an IT and telephony specialist.

Communicate Better CEO Wayne Cartwright has described the move as a “natural fit” for the business.

“After a testing last 12 months guiding the business through the pandemic, the time is right to pick up and continue with our buy-and-build strategy, which has always worked well for us,” he said.

“We welcome the staff and customers of Staveley Comms, and look forward to embedding them into our team so they can enjoy all the excellent support we currently give to our existing base.”

Staveley Comms managing director Ian Graydon said: “Communicate Better is a great fit for Staveley Comms to help take the business forward.

“There are lots of common synergies between the businesses, and the expanded product portfolio on both sides offers really compelling choices for our customers.”
