The manufacturer is also expected to launch a new iPad Air and Apple Watch updates

Apple is rumoured to unveil the new iPhone 5se, iPad Air 3 and Apple Watch updates at an event on March 15.

This is according to BuzzFeed and 9to5Mac. Both claim Apple will use the event to launch the iPhone 5se, a follow up to the iPhone 5s unveiled back in September 2013. 9to5Mac said the phone will feature a 4-inch display, faster processor and support for the Apple Pay mobile contactless transaction service. Additional rumoured features include a curved glass screen, 8MP rear and 1.2MP front cameras and silver, grey, gold and rose gold colour options.

Also rumoured is the iPad Air 3 – an upgrade to the 9.7-inch Air 2 unveiled October 2014. It is expected to include enhanced speakers and a rear-LED flash for the camera – a first for any iPad.

Updates for the Apple Watch are also expected. This includes new bands, including rubberised options and another from fashion label Hermès. A new range made from a new material is also rumoured.

The March 2016 event is rumoured to be smaller than Apple’s previous held at San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in September last year. The iPad Pro, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were all unveiled at the September event.
