HMD Global appoints former PayPal CMO to drive marketing

Taylor has almost 30 years experience in marketing and sales roles

HMD Global has appointed former PayPal CMO Stephen Taylor as its new marketing head.

Taylor joins the global licensee of the Nokia brand from PayPal where he worked for three-and-a-half years as its chief marketing officer for the EMEA region.

Prior to his previous role, Taylor also worked for Samsung Europe in a similar role for over four years.

Taylor will be tasked with the responsibility of HMD Global’s overall marketing strategy and will report to HMD Global CEO Florian Seiche.

Commenting on his appointment Taylor said: “During such unprecedented times for us all, I feel incredibly lucky to be surrounded by such a dedicated and passionate team and have already witnessed great collaboration in the face of uncertainty.”

Seiche added: “I believe Stephen’s wealth of experience, leadership skills and collaborative approach will help us to not only deliver more impactful campaigns, but to also broaden our community and impact on social media.”
