Oppo launches Reno8 series in Europe

The Oppo Pad Air and new IoT products have also been launched to European markets

Oppo has launched its new Reno8 series in Europe at an in-person event in Paris, featuring quality camera capabilities and a new design.

The Reno8 5G and Reno 8 Pro 5G both possess dual Sony flagship sensors for the 32MP selfie camera and 50MP main camera, with the latter device enabling 4K ultra night video to capture clearer, detailed videos at night.

Both phones feature a 4500mAh battery that charges to 50 per cent in around ten minutes, and 100 per cent in around 30 minutes.

The Reno8 Pro 5G is the thinnest handset in the series at 7.34mm thickness and weighing 183g, meanwhile the Reno8 5G has 7.67mm thickness and weighs 179g.

Both feature a cooling system for improved performance, with the 8 Pro 5G powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8100-MAX SoC and the 8 5G powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC. 

As well as this, Oppo has launched the Reno8 Lite 5G handset supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 and claims to have professional portrait capabilities to capture quality detail.

Pricing and availability

Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G is priced at £599, the Oppo Reno8 5G is priced at £419 and the Oppo Reno8 Lite 5G is priced at £319.

All devices are available from September 1 from a range of stores including EE, O2, Currys and Oppo’s estore.

UK customers will receive a gift with purchase from 1-28 September when ordering an Oppo Reno8 Pro 5G or an Oppo Reno8 5G. 

When ordering the Reno 8 Pro 5G, customers can get an Oppo Pad Air tablet for free, and those ordering the Reno8 5G will receive the Enco Free2 wireless earbuds and an Oppo band fitness tracker.
