Angelo Apa has spent over 25 years working in the IT industry

Exertis has announced the appointment of Angelo Apa as its first global head of enterprise vendor management.

Apa takes up the newly created position and will report to Exertis global operations managing director Neal Johnston.

Apa joins distributor Exertis from Lenovo Data Centre Group, where he held the role of technical sales and business development manager.

Prior to this, Apa spent 20 years working for IBM, across various senior sales roles in the UK and EMEA.

Apa will be tasked with growing the new and existing enterprise vendors into Exertis territories on a global scale, and will help develop strategies to enable resellers to maximise opportunities to grow their businesses.

Johnston has welcomed the appointment, citing the experience that Apa has gained in his career.

“We have been investing in our enterprise business in terms of resource and vendor portfolio in different geographies and this appointment gives us the opportunity to ensure we maximise our relationships with our partners and provide additional propositions for our customers.”

Commenting on his appointment, Apa said: “I am looking forward to the challenge of growing the Exertis enterprise business with our vendors across an expanding geographical footprint.

“Partners are increasingly looking for distributors that can simplify their supply chain yet increase their customer breadth. Exertis is clearly well-positioned to do both and add real value to resellers in the enterprise space with their enhanced portfolio and range of services.”
