Firm takes over BT Mobile contract in deal expected to generate millions in revenues

Advanced Mobile Communications (AMC) has secured its largest ever deal, adding 4,000 EE mobile connections to its growing portfolio.

The five-year deal with healthcare provider, Care UK was pinched from BT Mobile following a competitive tender process.

“It’s a five year contract for EE, so it’s generating multi-millions for them,” Chris Griffin (pictured), director, Advanced Mobile Communications, told Mobile News. “We’ve delivered Care UK a very competitive tariff working very closely with EE, so we’ve delivered some top line savings for them but it’s the whole service wrap (that secured the contract).”

Griffin says the service aspect of the deal was crucial, due to the critical nature of the health and social care provider’s business. Care UK operates more than 50 primary care services and 11 hospitals around the country.

The deal also extends the relationship between Care UK and AMC’s sister company, Advanced Computer Software, which hass been providing software since 2006. AMC has made significant efforts to expand their offering in the mobile sector since its launch in 2011 and it is something which is now paying dividends.

“Our core market since launch has always been airtime that supports mobile application deployments and application deliveries,” adds Griffin. “Over the past twelve months we’ve been exerting lots of energy to our corporate base, for corporate airtime and this is the first big win from that campaign.”
