Avenir preps B2B telecoms price comparison site

Airtime distributor Avenir Telecom is to launch a telecoms price comparison website for business customers to help generate business leads for new and existing partners

Avenir Telecom expects to launch a telecoms price comparison site, called Connecting Business, by the end of 2010 to enable customers to compare business mobile tariffs from all five UK operators and direct them to its local dealer partners.

The price comparison site will work by businesses entering account requirements such as handset numbers and minutes required.

The site will show no affiliation with Avenir Telecom itself.

Avenir Telecom claimed the site will be “completely” independent with its results.

Customers will be able to purchase online, with Avenir Telecom fulfilling transactions to O2, Orange, Three and T-Mobile.

Customers choosing to connect to Vodafone will be referred to it, and Avenir Telecom will take a payment for lead generation.

Businesses requested to discuss a deal in person will be passed to approved Avenir Telecom dealers.

Each will have an “exclusive” geographic area under the new plan.  Avenir Telecom will control all distribution and stock management.

Avenir Telecom is recruiting for an online sales team leader, online sales executive, head of online, franchise manager, web technology officer, online application manager and online service manager.

It was last week named O2’s number one distributor for connections during Q2, which saw it outperform its nearest distributors added together, it claimed.
