‘ICON Mobilise’ can handle up to 10,000 devices running a variety of operating systems

O2 centre of excellence partner Azzurri Communications has launched a new service enabling organisations to remotely manage employees’ mobile devices.

‘ICON Mobilise’, launched today (April 14) allows users to control employee access to corporate intranet, enterprise applications and company material. It can handle up to 10,000 devices running on different operating systems, Azzurri said.

The company said the product was designed to help existing BlackBerry users that are considering whether they should move to an alternative platform – by ensuring that any apps currently being used will work on Android, iOS or Windows Phone. It also ensures that any data being stored on the BlackBerry handsets is securely moved onto alternative platforms.

ICON Mobilise is also targeted at companies with a BYOD (bring your own device) culture where employees want to access corporate information using their own hardware.

Azzurri Communications mobility solutions product manager Paul Fawcett said: “With MDM outsourced to Azzurri with ICON Mobilise, organisations are free to keep pace with the latest advances in mobile technology without having to worry about interoperability, device management and data security.”
