The new office represents the telco’s vision to transform its workplace

BT has opened the doors at its new global headquarters in Aldgate, with the new premises ready to house around 3,500 employees.

The new London office which is known as One Braham has been opened as part of the telco’s vision to transform its workplace.

It will act as another flagship location as part of BT’s ‘Better Workplace Programme’, which will be completed in 2024 and will see BT ‘rationalise hundreds of its offices across the UK and establish an estate of future fit, high-tech workspaces’.

BT Group Chief Executive Philip Jansen said: “Our new HQ in London will bring our people together in an impressive and modern environment, transforming the way teams work.

“We’re really excited to be moving into One Braham. It represents a changing BT, one that is more agile, forward thinking and able to adapt to the challenges and opportunities presented by the acceleration of digital technologies.

Support ambitions

BT expects the new HQ, supporting regional hubs and revamped contact centres to enable the telco to help support its ambitions around sustainability, innovation, product development and excellent customer service.

The new HQ features smart building technology, flexible workspaces and collaboration areas.

BT will adopt a hybrid approach for its workforce called ‘smart working’, which will allow teams to choose how colleagues spend time between home and the office.
