There are four 5G plans available for BT customers

BT has confirmed that its 5G plans are now available for all customers with the service available across 50 towns and cities in the UK.

Initially BT launched 5G plans exclusively for its BT Halo customers last November, with a range of smartphones from the likes of Samsung, Huawei and OnePlus supporting 5G.

Customers will be able to use 5G in a number of the UK’s biggest cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast, Glasgow, Newcastle, Leeds and Liverpool to name a few.

Areas where footfall is high including London’s Waterloo and Euston stations will support BT’s 5G network.

BT Consumer managing director of marketing Pete Oliver said: “Our BT Halo customers have been some of the first to enjoy 5G in the UK, and we’re now giving all of our customers the chance to get super-fast, reliable mobile connections even in the busiest places.

“Whether you’re watching HD TV or sport on the go, or FaceTiming your family on the way home, 5G makes a huge difference to everyday experiences and opens up even more exciting new experiences like seamless augmented reality and HD mobile gaming.”

Customers will be able to choose from four 5G plans , with data ranging between 6GB and 100GB, and prices beginning from £45 per month.

Existing Halo customers can double their data plans, with the 100GB plan upgrading to unlimited.
