Vodafone Platinum Partner adds  £20 million worth of business and 25,000 mobile connections as its growth continues

OneCom claims to have had its best six months trading ever, having secured £20 million-worth of business and added 25,000 new mobile connections.

The leading Vodafone Platinum Partner, which has more than 225,000 mobile connections on its base, said the recent six-month period to April 30 was a 10 per cent increase on its previous best in the half-year to October 31.

Re-marketing
Among the companies that OneCom signed in the six months were hotel chain Travelodge and national car re-marketing and auction company Manheim, both worth around 1,000 connections each.

OneCom formed in June 2013 as a result of the merger of Premier Telecom and Business Phones Direct, both owned by company chief executive Darren Ridge (pictured).

In April, the company doubled the size of its headquarters in Whiteley, Hampshire, to 12,000 sq ft with the opening of new offices.

In addition to its head office, OneCom has premises in Camberley,  Brighton, Plymouth, Leeds, Telford, Southampton, Norwich and Edinburgh, and employs around 400 people.

“This has been an incredibly busy period for OneCom” said Ridge. “We’re seeing huge growth in our UC services, providing everything from mobile to fixed line to managed IT infrastructure.

“As well as bringing new business in, our customers are also choosing to stay with us.”
