The mobile phone retailer’s move paves the way for new propositions alongside a partner portal

Carphone Warehouse Business has partnered with Fidelity Energy to offer business energy solutions alongside telecom and various electrical plans.

The partnership paves the way for one of two new propositions the hardware and airtime distributor is launching alongside a new partner portal.

As part of the energy service, called Business Energy Saver, partners get a choice of energy suppliers, no operational overheads, full training and support, and the ability to white-label the service in marketing campaigns.

Business Energy Saver is offered as a ‘Partner Perk’ and launched on October 1 for the indirect partner channel, with the distributor now opening up applications from new and existing partners.

Alongside the energy proposition, Carphone Warehouse has also teamed up with its sister company, Currys PC World Business, to offer up to 10,000 mixed electrical products at a discounted rate to its partners.

All products and initiatives are available through the new partner portal, as the distributor looks to move beyond airtime and hardware.

Carphone Warehouse Business head of B2B indirect sales Carlos Pestana said it has “already made an impact” with its dealers.

He said: “Fundamentally our partners are a core part of Carphone Warehouse Business; it is important that we continue to improve not only what we offer from an operational level with the new partner portal but also ensure that our partners are given the opportunity to earn additional revenue streams from their existing bases.

“The ability to tap into our sister company Currys PC World Business, allows us to offer a full range of electricals to our partners and allows them to step out of the box from a mainstream telecoms portfolio. In addition, we have introduced Business Energy Saver, which has already made an impact in the dealer base.”
