Technology provider Chess has confirmed the acquisition of The Telephone Number Company (TTNC).

This acquisition kicks off Chess’ ambitious 2022 growth plans, according to the company in a statement.

TTNC is a provider of end-to-end comms solutions and has the UK’s most comprehensive range of telephone numbers and is ranked as number one telco services provider on Trustpilot.

TTNC also has other services including call management packages, cloud numbers, voice over IP services, SIP trunks, call tracking and bespoke telephone answering services.

Chess currently has over 28,000 customers, including small business to large blue-chip enterprises.

Chess founder and executive chairman David Pollock said: “We have ambitious growth plans and the acquisition of TTNC sets us up for a great start to the year.

“Small business owners are time poor so need a knowledgeable and efficient technology partner. The addition of The Telephone Number Company will further strengthen our capability to deliver end-to-end services to our small business customers through a fully digital experience.”
