Alderley Edge-based reseller recognised in Megabuyte50 Awards as UK’s highest performing private telecoms company

Chess has been named as one of the top 50 performing private companies in the UK as part of the Megabuyte50 Awards.

The Alderley Edge telecoms provider was selected as the highest performing private telecoms company at the awards, with a run rate of more than £80 million.

The Megabuyte 50 Awards is ran by technology sector analysts Megabuyte and looks at the top performing UK headquartered, privately owned, mid-market tech companies.

Megabuyte’s research team analyses the financial performance of the top 200 UK based, privately owned software, IT and telecoms services companies, looking at growth, margins and cash flow to determine the best 50 companies.

These are then divided by sector, with Chess being recognised as the highest performing privately owned telecoms company.

Chess CEO David Pollock commented ‘We strive every day to be the best of the best so it’s a fantastic achievement for us to be ranked in the Megabuyte 50 as one of the fastest growing companies in the country.

“It’s in our culture to strive to maximise our potential, to exceed our customers’ expectations and this award is testament to the continuing hard work of all our people on both those counts.”

This is the latest in several recent awards for Chess. Last year, it was voted UK’s National Champion in The European Business Awards for Customer Focus.

Earlier this month, Chess was voted the Sunday Times 3rd Best Company To Work For in the UK. It also claims to be the only telecoms company to win both the Institute of Customer Service Quality Service Provider Award and the Customer First Accreditation.
