UK distributor was first acquired by Tech Data in 1998 – now operating under the same name as all the group’s European and global operations
IT distributor Computer 2000 has been rebranded as Tech Data, 15 years after it was acquired by the company.
The rebrand, effective from today (October 7), will see external signage, the website, marketing and stationary changed.
Resellers and vendors will be able to reach their usual Computer 2000 contacts on existing telephone numbers and email addresses.
Tech Data managing director for UK and Ireland said: “We are proud, after 15 years, to be trading under the same brand as our parent company and the rest of the Tech Data group. The rebrand is an important milestone in the history of the UK organisation.
“It lays the foundation for the forthcoming integration of SDG into the Tech Data UK business and the Collection of Specialists – Azlan, Datech, Maverick and Tech Data Mobile.”
